Financial Management for Startups & Technology companies

Legal Aspects of Technology Management

Laws affect technology management directly. Rules outline benchmarks and define what is allowed or forbidden at points that most people are unaware of and unknowing of their consequences. For example, users' privacy issues in websites, apps, and other online platforms. What details are considered personal and which may be collected? And under what conditions? The same applies to the protection of the intellectual property of the enterprise or the technological company. What is allowed and what is not? Who owns the rights in work products? How does one protect Code or Business Methods? Hence, the course will address these issues, as well as contractual-commercial aspects of technology management with reference to existing and emerging technologies such as open-source, IoT, and cloud services.
